A Day in the Life of is a mentorship program dedicated to helping young people make informed career decisions
How do we work?
We record interviews of various career professionals to learn what an average day in their field is like as well as what steps they took to get their job. Once completed, the interviews are edited and posted to our online catalogue.
To make a lasting impact, we know that we must actively engage and include the communities we are seeking to help. We are continually learning and growing in how we show up as an authentic, ethical partner.
We are now starting to share our complete digital library FREE OF CHARGE with organizations that value today's youth such as:
School districts
Churches with youth congregations
Incarcerated youth
Large organizations with community outreach initiatives
We are always expanding our online catalogue of career interviews and building relationships with community members and stakeholders.
Mentorship Program
Our mentorship program is made up of three components:
career path videos, life skills videos, and community outreach initiatives.
Youth who are considering future career options may benefit from alternative means of support. Our program empowers them by sharing career presentations and positive life skills. After viewing the presentations, a moderator engages in dialogue with the group on key points highlighted by the presentation. In an effort to identify lessons learned, recognize areas of improvement, and develop a plan for each individual going forward.
Our team
In 2021, Brian retired as Captain on the Los Angeles Fire Department. During his 34 year career, he had the opportunity to mentor many young men and women in the fire service. Brian is also a former Educational Assistant at Rochester High School. In 2022, Brian created and founded "A Day in the Life of..."

Andrew is a graduate of Southern Adventist University with degrees in photography, film production, and entrepreneurship. He joined "A Day in the Life of..." as a content creator in 2022 and became creative director in 2024.

Hannah joined "A Day in the Life of..." in 2025 to show what ADITLO can become online. Aside from her work as Social Media Manager for ADITLO, Hannah is a ballet instructor at Southwest Washington Dance Center.
